HOW DOES IT WORK?
When you enroll in a Penn Foster program, learning materials will be shipped directly to you. Can't wait to get started? Your Student ID# will give you access to download your initial learning materials.

Penn Foster's Correspondence School programs are designed so that you can study independently. However, if you have a question about anything in your program, help is available. Faculty and admissions counselors are available via toll-free call to answer your questions from 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday. On weekends or holidays, leave a message and your call will be answered the next business day. If you prefer, you can contact your instructors by email, message board, or by regular mail. You can also connect with students, faculty, and admissions counselors on the Penn Foster Community.

At the end of each lesson, you will take an exam through our website. As soon as you pass your exam, you can continue on to the next lesson. New course material will be sent to you as you complete your exams, so that you will always have what you need to continue moving forward in your program.

Once you have passed all your courses, you'll receive your diploma, certificate, or degree from Penn Foster. You can complete your training in just a few months or take up to two years, depending on the program you choose. Students enrolled in our High School Diploma Program may take up to three years to complete their program.

Students and graduates of Penn Foster programs have access to our Career Services which include assistance with building a resume, online job searches, preparation of cover letters, tips on interviewing, and more. You can even create a career portfolio.
